A varied diet of high-quality flakes, small pellets, and frozen or live foods such as brine shrimp or daphnia ensures they stay healthy and vibrant. Breeding Pearl Danios in a controlled environment can be rewarding; they scatter their eggs among fine-leaved plants or spawning mops, and fry hatch within 2–3 days.
