These shrimp display a light red to pinkish colouration, providing subtle charm to planted aquariums. Their peaceful nature and algae-eating habits make them an excellent addition to a clean-up crew, while their ease of care makes them perfect for beginners.

Maximum adult size: 2.5 cm
Temperament: Peaceful, excellent for community tanks with small, non-aggressive fish
Difficulty of care: Easy, ideal for beginners
Preferred Temperature: 20–26°C
Preferred pH of water: 6.5–8.0
Type of breeding: Live in freshwater, females carry eggs until hatching

These shrimp thrive in well-maintained tanks with plenty of live plants, mosses, and hiding spots. A stable environment with good filtration and no copper-based medications is essential.
